Music Mentoring
I’m a photographer and a coach but for a long time I was just a musician.
I’ve been in a band since I was doing my GCSEs—and been writing songs and playing shows ever since. That’s over 20 years of creating, touring, releasing music, and learning the hard way what works (and what doesn’t).
These days I split my time between coaching, photography, and music.
I’ve toured internationally, played some of the UK’s most beautiful venues, and released albums through various labels including my own.
If you’re a musician who’s feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just in need of some clarity and encouragement, I’d love to help.

Maybe you need support with:
Planning a release
Figuring out where to focus your attention
Working through shyness or stage fright
Hiring a team and deciding what to pay for (hint: you can do a lot yourself)
Getting your motivation back
Feeling more connected to your creativity
Having someone to check in with and be accountable to
Why work with me in particular?
Over the past 20 years, I’ve built a career from the ground up as a songwriter and performer. I’ve been in a four-piece band (Jylt), a folk duo (Paper Aeroplanes), and now perform as a solo artist under the name Bryde. I’ve hired session musicians, taken on the role of musical director, and navigated the highs and lows of life in music.
I’ve released nine studio albums and several EPs—many of them on vinyl and CD. I’ve been signed to indie labels, worked with management and publishers, and built a loyal fanbase through years of touring and connection. I’ve written songs and toplines for international trance producers and performed those songs all over the world. I’ve sold out shows in London from Bush Hall to Union Chapel, played festivals like Latitude and Green Man, and toured Europe and the US.
I’ve worked with international booking agents and also booked my own tours—both when starting out and more recently, returning to live music after time away. My music has been stocked in HMV and indie record stores across the UK, and I’ve featured on Spotify editorial playlists with over a million followers.
Beyond music, I’m a certified Somatic Life Coach with two years' experience working in mental health for the NHS. I’ve founded and run a micro label (Seahorse Music), releasing music by six different artists including my own. I’ve promoted music online since the days of Myspace, and I’ve stayed adaptable—moving with the times, reinventing where needed, and staying close to what really matters: the work itself.
I’ve also built a thriving creative business as a portrait and event photographer, working with individuals and organisations who value meaning, expression, and story. Everything I do is grounded in creativity, empathy, and helping others stay connected to what lights them up.
I’ve made mistakes so you don’t have to. I’ve learned what sustains a career—and what burns you out. If you’re looking for a sounding board with real-world experience and a deep understanding of both music and wellbeing, I’d love to help.
Let’s talk.
