I'm a music artist of 20 years (Bryde, Paper Aeroplanes & Sarah Howells) who has been through the whole range of experiences within the industry from being a self-releasing artist booking my own small shows, to being signed to labels, publishers and international booking agencies.  

I've sold out a headline show at a 900 capacity venue in London as Paper Aeroplanes, sung to 4000 people in Cape Town at an EDM event as Sarah Howells, toured the UK, Europe and Indonesia to name but a few and achieved various other goals along the way, with and without a team of industry people.

My creative career has been a journey full of highs, but also one full of challenges, hurdles and sometimes, quite honestly, crushing disappointment that would test anyone’s mindset.

Being a professional creative can take a toll on our mental health.

I discovered Somatic Experiencing (developed by Peter Levine) whilst working part time in mental health for the NHS as a peer coach, and searching for something that could help clients with severe trauma.

Learning the simple but quite unfamiliar technique of experiencing the 'felt sense', had a powerful effect on how I regulated my nervous system, how I made decisions intuitively and with confidence and how I create.

I now feel centred, confident and self compassionate towards myself and my music career.

My coaching training from the Somatic School allows me to use a version of this in coaching sessions, to support you in staying centred and clear on why you make art and how you want to show up as an artist in public. 

I add this to my years of music industry knowledge and empathy for fellow music artists, to provide 1:1 support with a difference.
